
Jo Beaudreau of Beverly won first place in the Digital Photo Contest sponsored by the Young Adult Board of the Beverly Arts Center for her set of five photos, “Ketchup,” “Mayo,” “Relish,” “Soy Sauce” and “Sugar.”
Jennifer Hines of the North Side was awarded second place for her series, “Counting,” “Nite Time Snack,” “Guy Time” and “Forgotten.”
Third place went to Stephanie Burke of the Belmont Heights neighborhood for “Summer Day” and Elizabeth Blackburn of Oak Forest won honorable mention for “Three Years Later.”
The competition was open to persons age 19 to 30, and Brian Ritchard and Carla Winterbottom of the BAC Gallery Committee served as judges.
Cash prizes were sponsored by The Financial Professionals Mortgage Corporation (Palos Hills), Chicago Artists’ Coalition (Chicago), Franklin Framing (Blue Island), George Poulos & Associates (Blue Island) and The Arthouse (Palos Heights) and awarded to first, second, and third place winners and honorable mention.
Works by the winners and finalists will be on exhibit through Aug. 17 in the Atrium Gallery at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St.
Gallery admission is free and hours are Mon. through Fri., 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sat., 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sun., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
