German Marble Cake

Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups butter, 1 1/4 cups sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla extract, pinch of salt, 5 eggs, 1 1/2 cups flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, 3 tbsp. milk, 2 tbsp. cocoa.

Preparation: Beat butter with sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, salt and vanilla extract. Sift together the flour and baking powder. Gradually add the flour, baking powder and milk to the mixture. Put 2/3 of the dough in a cake pan. Add cocoa to the rest of the dough. Add the dark dough to the light dough in the cake pan. Swirl a fork through the dough to create a marbled effect. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and bake for about 60 minutes.
